The images, ideas and laws in the Jim Crow Era were most shocking to me. I had never heard of the Jim Crow Era until then, I couldn't believe that we humans could have such absence of empathy. Seeing the pictures, videos and witness reports made me feel sick to my stomach. The behavior back then was repulsive and I believe in equality and do not support racism in any way. Racism is still around today, but not as brutally carried out as it was back then.
